Details

Something that I love about fashion,

One of the greatest designers in women's fashion was Madeleine Vionnet, the “architect among dressmakers." She was a master of details and a pioneer in evening wear, mixing elegance with art. One of my favorite pieces she ever designed is this creme fringe evening gown, referred to as Crépinières, from her Summer 1938 collection. It features scalloped fringe on a silk background.

The dress below is from her 1930 Haute Couture line. The model is holding the material that the dress is made from, crinoline black net. It is a sturdy fabric, which gives the dress it's shape. This photo is showcasing the durability and details of the dress with an image of elegance from the model.
